Dear Cameron

Our apologies for taking so long to write. It has taken us time to find our words. In truth, the last two weeks have been difficult. Yasmin was the best friend and companion we could ever have asked for and we are missing her terribly.

However, despite our sadness, we have 16 years of beautiful memories to hold dear. We know what a blessing it is to have had her for so long. Some of our most special moments happened in the days just prior to her passing, and for these, we believe, we have you to thank. Knowing she was going made this time more poignant, sacred even; knowing she would pass peacefully and gently made the world of difference to our ability to let her go.

Thank you for assisting us and being so respectful and thoughtful. It was an honor to be a part of it all. In particular, we really appreciated the opportunity to carry her stretcher to the car – our final way of honoring her lifelong devotion to us.

You do important work, Cameron, and you do it with integrity. We are so grateful.
